US Open Redux. We came back to JiangNan again after another fun day at the US Open and this time lucked out with easy street parking (that parking lot near JiangNan is tough with a minivan!) This time we ordered everything we did last time, minus the sweet and sour spareribs. We also ordered for the 7 of us: - whole Peking Duck ($88!) - 5/5, expensive for sure, but also excellent, served with pancakes, cucumber, scallion, MSG?, and strangely pineapple chunks - cumin lamb sizzling platter - 4/5, a little too spicy even for my taste - shredded cabbage pork - 5/5, although a little skimpy on the pork - bacon and vegetable fried rice - 4/5, we all agreed might as well stick with the plain white rice, everything else was so flavorful in comparison We also polished off two orders of sauteed pea shoot, they are that good! We made a reservation which we needed to change several times with the number in our party and our arrival time shifting (due to the US Open match going long). JiangNan accommodated all these changes no problem and seated us in a lovely quiet table towards the back of the restaurant which made for easy conversation. I believe we now have an annual tradition of the US Open followed by JiangNan, and it's a good one!

I would come all the way here from Long Island City where I live on the 7 train just because I love this place so much. If you want to impress your relatives or parents from out-of-town, bring them here. Service is quick and efficient. Nice ambiance. 4 dishes for 2 people will come out to $100-120 (for a date/lunch). I pack the leftovers home.

I love this Chinese food place- probably among the top 3 in flushing for the quality. It's a bit pricier than the other Chinese restaurants around flushing but you definitely get what you pay for. The Peking duck dish was delicious- my go-to dish. I love the interior decor. Service is pretty good- food came quick.

The sweet and sour striped fish is a must order!! My family and I came here for dinner and we absolutely loved it. Everything is fresh and served family style. It is authentic and beautifully decorated. It almost felt like you have enter ancient China from the moment you step in. If you are a big group or on the weekend. I would highly recommend you make a reservation ahead of time. This place is not usually packed but it can be

It is a great place for family-style dinners but at a higher price for what it is. At first, two friends and I were seated outside at the extension?? of the restaurant. not sure why since there were empty tables inside..maybe they were reserved? But when we asked if there was an available table inside, they were hesitant to move us. It was such a hot June Friday night and the outside tables did not have AC. We ordered 4 dishes and a bowl of white rice to share. Okra in garlic sauce - 6/10 - there was no garlic sauce whatsoever and wasn't even spicy at all. honestly just tasted like blanched okra with some black vinegar poured over it Seafood fried noodles- 6/10 - the seafood was so MINI, ample (shrimp/scallop) but MINI. The fried noodles also weren't what we expected. it was udon. As a main dish, we kinda wish the portion was more. Deep fried tiger prawns with salted egg yolk - 8/10 - the flavor was good but again, kinda wish there were more shrimps instead of the hard yao tiew (crueler dough) Cumin lamb on sizzling plate - 8/10 - not too spicy/oily and had the mala Szechuan taste that complimented white rice Overall pretty good dinner, they didn't rush us out even though we took our time eating. Bill came out to around $115 for the 3 of us. Would come back next time to try other dishes.

The food here is absolutely phenomenal. We came as a group of 5 and ordered a bunch of dishes from the duck to their sautéed string beans. Everything was delicious, but the fried rice was a little too spicy for me to handle so I stuck with the other dishes here. It was not too busy for lunch, which is a good thing because our food came out really fast. It took less than 10-20 minutes for all our food to come out. The duck is to DIE for and the dish with the rolled pork belly is an amazing appetizer to get started with. WOULD DEFINITELY COME BACK AGAIN!!!

Definitely ordered way too much for 2 people but everything looked so yummy on the menu. Been here 2 times and the first time I went, they ran out of the peking duck so make sure to come early! - (Half) Peking Duck ($46) 5/5 paired with the Salt & Pepper Crispy Duck Bone ($15) 4/5: the peking duck was cooked to perfection and paired super well with the wraps and toppings. I normally have peking duck on the white bun so this was the first time having it in wrap style and definitely was not disappointed! - Sliced pork belly with mashed garlic ($15) 4/5: this cold dish was very light and was delicious. not too spicy and i enjoyed the sauce paired with the pork belly & cucumber. pretty big serving as well! - Braised beef flank w potatoes ($30) 2/5: the flavor for this was not good and we could barely touch this it was tough and had to take it home where mama & papa mei also said the same thing - Mixed fruit tea ($7) 5/5: super yummy!! :: Overall, the food is good (except the beef flank) and the service is good. Would definitely come here for the peking duck on a more special occasion because this place is pretty pricey for asian food! I post all my food recs on ig @jenkneeats!
